After two fabulous weeks off from all things related to school.
Today it was . .
The nice thing is that we are starting slow.
The next few weeks are the end of the first semester so we are wrapping up subjects which means we actually have less work to do each day.
For example, Josh only had two lessons on Monday and one lesson on Tuesday.
We need to focus on some things like sight words and Nate has some writing and practice worksheets to do by the beginning of February so we better get moving on those worksheets AND work on lists of sight words that I've been ignoring for a few weeks months. (oops!)
I'm also working on my strategy in how we do lessons so that we can learn what needs to be learned yet not spend hours on lessons that don't count toward their grade. I have other things I want to push into our daily routine like daily walks, fun and learning focused crafts and more. I feel like the first half of the year we spent all of our time staring at a computer but not having any fun learning. The second half of the year, I want to accomplish their requirements but use some creativity to teach other things both related to their studies and not related to their studies.
So, we are off and counting the days down until the end of May . . ok not really, well maybe a little HA!
