It's been a bit since I've posted a recipe but this week I made something that was actually really good!
This is Ham and Cheese Crescent Breakfast Bake and it was surprisingly good. I love to have breakfast for dinner but was tired of all of our favorites. I was doubting this one because, in the past, anytime I've added liquid (the eggs in this case) to crescent rolls to bake, the rolls never quite bake but are all spongy. That was not the case this time. The crescent rolls were cooked perfectly and the egg just filled in all the cracks. The filling was perfect too. I cut this recipe in half, using only 1 regular size tube of rolls, and I still had plenty of filling left.
I served the breakfast bake with sausage balls (which Darryl said was the perfect combination) and fresh fruit and dip. I also baked some scones.
This recipe is a true "keeper". It would be a great dish to take to a brunch or a ladies event.
