Our plans took a slight twist last week due to sickness but I think we are finally back on track. Here we are at the start of the year and it is time to get back into the full swing of cooking. I'm hoping, trying, and planning to once again cut the grocery budget back some. It gets easy to spend a lot of money at the store because, well, we love food, but it's also important to pick up what we need and what we will actually eat. :-)
This week some finishing touches will be done on our kitchen which means emptying some drawers and cupboards so the contractor can put up the doors and drawer fronts. Therefore, for one more time, my kitchen will be knocked out of commission for a few days!! That will impact what I'm cooking . .. or what I'm not cooking!
Saturday - Lasagna, garlic bread and green beans - I was going to cook this on New Years Day but we had so many leftovers from New Years Eve that we just ate those instead.
Sunday - Roasted Pork Loin, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, and Rolls.
Monday - Out. My kitchen will be torn apart so Darryl is bringing dinner home for us.
Tuesday - Chicken Enchiladas, Salad, Chips and Salsa
Wednesday - Pancakes, Sausage and bacon
Thursday -Steaks, Roasted Potatoes, Corn and Rolls
Friday - Tacos!
