Too Cute Not to Toot

Hello!  This first idea is coming from Nothing But Country and is something we all only get to enjoy every 4 years but I love it - it's a Leap Year Dinner.  I am going to print this idea for our February binder more so that I have an inspiration.  I know that 4 years from now, my kids will find this a fun thing to do on that special day!

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner so I love finding fun ideas.  One of my favorites, Oopsey Daisy, is sharing a great printable for that very day!

You know I love wreaths and this one is perfect for spring.  Keeping it Simple shares a great, simple tutorial too!

This next project should probably, technically, go on my "Homeschool Haven" post I do about once a month right now but, it was just too cute not to share now.  Toadally Tots (don't you love that name?) shares a super cute alphabet name using plastic eggs!

Ok, so if you read my posts for real, you know I've been talking about making Quiet books for like, forever.  I just can't seem to get my seamstress hat on so when I saw this idea over at This Just Pinned for a Busy Binder I started to rethink my plan to sew a Quiet Book . .. .

Even though I am not a great Gardener (nor is it something I love) I do like to plant a few things for the sake of my kids :-)  So when I saw a few ideas over at Veni Vidi Scrappy I thought I would share!

Well, I've run out of time to search this week (it is LATE Monday night!) so I will wrap this up for now.

I have totally fallen off the Pinterest Wagon - for no other reason then I haven't taken time to remember what ideas I'm using are from Pinterest :-) LOL  I do have one funny story though!

Last Friday, I was driving into the BIG town that is 45 minutes away.  While driving down the expressway I saw one of those new, huge TV screen bulletin boards and it said something to the effect of "Are you Depressed and hurting? We have the solution." And then I saw this "Pinterest.com" and was like, seriously?  Pinterest can help heal depression. . .I can kinda understand that . . then I looked again and realized it said PINEREST.com  Yes, that is Pine Rest - it's a hospital that helps people with issues such as depression. So, yes, Pinterest has taken over HA!!

Have a great day!

Too Cute Not To Toot!

As you well may know, we are slowing making changes to our kitchen.  I'm in the midst of finally painting the kitchen.  Once that is done, I'll be saving up to get the counter top paint so when I saw this post from Dukes and Duchesses I wanted to post it here for my benefit.  She did a great job painting a bathroom counter top - it looks fantastic!

I already have my St Patrick's decor picked out and am working on it this week but when I saw this idea from Sweet Rose Studio I had to share it.  I might have to add this if I can find the coins . . . it is just shiny.

Pink Polka Dot Creations shares a great little St Patrick's Game.  I love it and plan on printing it to use this year and in the future!

This next idea is from The Diary of Dave's Wife and is a great printable for birthdays.  My husband just celebrated his and I realized that it will be fun to have certain things like printables, a wreath and a centerpiece to use for all birthdays.

Yes, my kitchen is actually painted so now I get to decorate.  I've been finding ideas on Pinterest but when I saw this idea from Today's Fabulous Finds I wanted to save it.  I'd love something "alive" in my kitchen and I bet I could make this idea into a herb garden . . .maybe :-)

I've seen all kinds of printable's for Subway Art geared towards St Patrick's Day and I'm not sure why I haven't shared more but I really liked this one from Maiden D'shade and wanted to save it for future reference.
Craftionary offers up links to all kinds of free printables for St Patrick's Day from signs to cupcake toppers.

Craftionary also shares some very creative Magnetic Boards.  There are all kinds of ideas and ways to use this concept.

Continuing on with the them of posts full of links to all kinds of ideas, Sassy Sites has provided lots of links of Rainbow Ideas - many of them food related which makes them even more fun!!

Well, I already have my St. Patrick's Day wreath planned but when I saw this one from A Night Owl I had to share it because I love it!

One of the projects I've wanted to do is make a "House Rules" poster so when I saw this printable from Get outta my head please, well I had to share.  Maybe I won't have to create this from scratch after all :-)

That's it this week!

Too Cute Not To Toot

Lets start right off with an idea from Repeat Crafter Me, which I love.  I'm debating trying to get this made prior to my husband's birthday and have it be the gift from the boys but I think that might be stretching it (since his birthday is tomorrow . . .but I'm writing this post on Friday :-) ) I need to see how much the Fabric Markers are . . .

I've mentioned before that I'm looking for ideas for my kitchen as we WILL be finishing up the painting sometime soon and I really like these DIY letters from debbie do creations.

I look forward to being these little Leperchan Catchers with the boys in future years and the idea from East Coast Mommy is super cute and easy too!

Oopsey Daisy, one of my favorites, shares some great ideas for celebrating President's Day.  I guess I never really thought about doing anything for that particular holiday but after seeing her ideas, I think I will have to change my mind!

I know when you see this next idea from Debbie Does Creations, you might think I'm jumping the gun a tad but I would like to point out that Easter is not that far away :-)
This next idea comes from My Girlish Whims is for a great idea for a wedding guest"book".  Instead of the traditional book, she uses a framed piece and each guest signs a heart.  I love it because it is 12x12 which, eventually, could be slipped into a scrapbooking album also.  Obviously, this isn't something I plan to use but wanted to share it because it is just too cute!

I'm seriously only posting this idea from Worth Pinning for one reason.  Don't get me wrong, the whole post is cute - great V-day party set up BUT look at the Fruit Kabobs.  Seriously, who would have thought to do just blackberries and raspberries on a stick.  You will see these show up at a shower I'm co-hosting soon because it is just too classy NOT to do!

This is another idea from Repeat Crafter Me and it is "A Year of Dates".  I've seen this idea before and it didn't appeal to me because it seemed like it cost too much BUT the way that this blogger did it and explained it was great . I think that this is something I want to work toward putting together as a gift for my husband.  I think it might make a great anniversary gift :-)

That's it for this week and . . .sadly, there will not be a pinterest post this week again.  I'm not sure what happened other then I forgot to look at my list of things to do and therefore, did nothing HA!  I need to get creative again :-)

Too Cute Not To Toot!

Welcome to Valentine's Day!  I have a few fun things planned for today with the family.  I was trying to figure out why I did so much more last year and then it hit me.  Last year, I still had nap time to get things done . . .this year I have very active boys or limit my creativity time HA!  Oh well, I figure by next year, they will want me to do stuff so that they can benefit from all of that creativity, right?

Lets start with an idea from one of my favorite blogs, Craftomaniac, and an easy but adorable Valentine's idea.  This would also be fitting for a bridal shower :-)
I love game ideas to put into our Activities of the Month folder so when I saw this idea from Creations by Kara for a fun game I had to share it!
Ok, this makes me happy because I have nothing for March as of yet - I know that fellow crafters would come through and Every Creative Endeaver did not disappoint.  You WILL see this show up in March in my house!
So, I love fun shirts for my boys and this one from rhapsody of cacophony - it would be a great shirt for them to wear in the car on a long trip . . it would give them something to do!   I might have to make these for their Easter Baskets :-)
I love this party idea from Homespun with Love because it can be used for so many things - a Valentines Party, a little girls birthday party, a wedding shower or even a baby shower - it is just the inspiration that gets the party going!

This recipe looks so great to me, but we love blue cheese dressing.  Comfy in the Kitchen share a super easy, but elegant salad idea; I'm going to have to try this to see if it makes salad at home taste better!

This great dessert recipe is also from Comfy in the Kitchen  - I would love to try it soon!

If you read my post yesterday, you will know that I made one Cone Tree this year.  Well, I cam across this idea from I gotta create for some adorable trees for Valentine's Day.  I think in a few years, it will be a fun craft for the boys to make too.

This idea from Mom on Timeout is too adorable not to share.  I love the little pom-pom creatures and think they will be a fun thing to make for the boys in years to come - I can see having them write a story about each of their fuzzy friends :-)

One day soon I will actually finish the walls in my kitchen, which is also our main entrance so as I redecorate a little I've been watching for some new and creative ideas - I really liked this idea from Queen B Creative Me.

Ok, this door decor is the cutest thing ever from My Life and Kids.

I love free printables and this one from Sweet Anne is no exception.  I will be printing this and adding it to my February binder!

I really do love to do fun things with kid food so when I saw this post from Meaningful Mama I had to share it.  I love how she did something heart based for each meal.

That's it for today!

I also wanted to say that there will not be my normal Pinterest Challenge post this week.  I think I actually did complete a couple of things but it's been such a crazy few days that I'm not sure what things are Pinterest and which are just things I wanted to do!!

I'll be back next week with that post!

Too Cute Not to Toot!!

Ok, sorry again about the big old forgotten post last week - I've been trying to have posts ready 1-2 weeks in advance and completely forgot that I had never completed the Too Cute Not To Toot! post.  Oops!  As soon as I posted it last week, I started searching for ideas for this week to make up for it :-)

Here we go!

With Valentine's Day coming closer we are all looking for ideas to tell our sweety we love them - here's a great idea from How Does She.  I like this idea better then the 52 ideas because I only have to think of ten (not that I couldn't think of 52 but they would start to sound dorky after awhile!!)
I love party ideas - I think they are fun and who really knows when I'll need them!  I love this circus party idea from Vixen Made - I wonder if my niece would mind a Circus Themed Bridal Shower HA! (Just joking!!!)

These cookies from Sugar Bean Bakers are super cute and a very easy twist on the typical Peanut Butter Kiss cookies.
Sometime around this time of year last year I posted about Valentine's Pouches for the dining room chairs.  I went back to that post this year and was going to make them for the boys . . .until I read the instructions and realized I wasn't ready to sew that project so when I came across this idea from Oopsey Daisy I had to save it for future reference!  Such a cute and fairly simple idea!!

This next idea is a great tutorial for the 52 Reasons I love You project that I did not complete last month.  Paper Vine gives some great information on how to create this project - maybe I will try this one some other time this year!
I have a very specific reason for wanting to post this tutorial from Shindig Parties To Go . ... I needed to know how to make cupcake wrappers for an upcoming shower I'm helping with!  This will be awesome for that and for future birthday parties too!

Clean and Scentsible  shares a really cute card idea using one of my favorite things - the kids handprints!!

We love football and, as the boys get older, I look forward to some Sunday Football traditions so when I saw this table runner, I knew I had to save the idea from Everything has its wonders.  I for sure want to make this before this fall so we can use it for special games as decor.  :-)

And to go along with the football idea, this neat craft from Mom On Time out would be something fun to make next year on Superbowl

That's it for this week!  I'm really hoping to get some inspiration for March decor soon - I need some ideas for my "Mantel" and for a new wreath!!

Too Cute Not To Toot!

I want to start out with an idea that I actually asked a blogger about because she posted about it.  This is one of my favorite blogs to read called, Superchikk, and she shared an idea about creating a photo book for your child.  She gives one to her kids as a stocking stuffer each year that contain 100 photos from the year.  What a great little treasure for kids to hold on to and use as a reminder of people and things.

Oops!!  I started this last week and then forgot that I hadn't finished it so, I'm going to post this idea for today and try to remember to create this post the right way for next week!

Too Cute Not to Toot!

I have to tell you - I have been busy making some projects from past "Too Cute" posts that I'll be sharing soon.  PLUS I have even made one of my OWN ideas!!  Seriously!  Can you believe it?  I'm also getting ready to start searching for some new ideas to work on next month too!

Lets start with this great printable from A Step in the Journey.  I really love the quote and will be printing my own this week.  I'm thinking that I will frame it and hang it above my desk as a daily reminder.  I'll show you once it is hanging up :-)
This next idea I am posting for one person who reads this blog - she got a Kindle Fire this year and mentioned that she hasn't been able to find a good case - well neither could Color Me Glamorous so she MADE one and shared her full tutorial.  Check it out!
I Heart Crafty Things shares an adorable tutorial for making these monster Valentine's Boxes.  In future years, as the boys get older, I plan on have each of us make boxes and then put notes in them through the weeks before the big Heart Day.  A Friend of mine does this with her 8 (yes 8) boys and I just think it is awesome! These boxes are just too great not to make :-)
Thought I would share this adorable idea for a little hot chocolate party.  It is such a simple idea from Dukes and Duchesses.  I think this would be fun to do with the boys after an afternoon of playing in the snow :-)
This is an idea I saw on Pinterest originally but the link sends you to a shop to buy the kit - I didn't want to buy the kit.  Then I found this idea over at And I Thought I loved you Then  with instructions on how to make the Snowball Kit!
So, this really isn't an "idea" but it is a concept and, since it is the plan to finally purchase "My" camera after tax time, I wanted to save this post from Its Overflowing - it's a blogger camera course.  It is the second post - so you can, I'm sure, find the first post and there will also be more.  I'm kinda excited to use it as a base to help me out (Plus I have a friend who has promised to teach me all she knows HA!)
Sassy Sites has done it again.  This time she is sharing a ton of links for ideas to make Valentine's for kids.  I love it for future years - it would be fun to make some of them and put them in those Monster Boxes and mentioned above.!
That's all for this week :-)  People have been kinda quiet this week in bloggy land - I think everyone is still recovering from Christmas :-)
