Weekly Menu

Welcome to Spring Break Week.  You might think that Homeschoolers don't take a spring break but . . .we do :-)  It's a long stretch from January until now and a break is a nice way to regroup and focus for the rest of the year.  Plus our friends are off school and spend some or all of the week with us daily so everyone just wants to hang out.  It also gives me time to focus on a few projects since I'm not teaching all day.  It's also a nice break from everything - youth groups, lessons, etc.

Friday - Shrimp and Grits and Veggies.  Our week shifted a little last week so this got pushed to Friday this week.

Saturday - We are making our yearly trip back to where Darryl and I got engaged so we will eat out :-)

Sunday - Beef, Tomato and Acini di Pepe Soup and French Bread

Monday - Filipino Adobo Chicken, mashed potatoes and veggie.

Tuesday - Pancakes, Fried Potatoes, Bacon and Sausage

Wednesday - Copy Cat Olive Garden Chicken Alfredo and Garlic Break

Thursday - Nachos :-)  Always a fun, easy dinner

Weekly Menu

(Oops - I forgot to post this!)  I wrote this on my phone one day while sitting in the car so 1) I didn't write anything exciting and 2) I couldn't "schedule" it so that is why it is just now posting!

Friday —. Tonight is our Co-Op Presentation Night so we will eat there and then have cereal at home if still hungry.

Saturday - we are eating at Nanas!!!

Sunday - roast, noodles, and green beans

Monday -  we are spending the day with my nephew and his family so I’m not quite sure what we will end up doing for dinner.

Tuesday - Swiss chicken supreme, stuffing and salad

Wednesday — Shrimp and Grits and zucchini

Thursday - I’m heading out to dinner with my Sunday School Class.  I plan on leaving Tacos/Nachos for my guys.

Weekly Menu

We had an unexpected quiet week which was nice after some very busy weeks!  We didn't have appointments or out of the ordinary obligations plus normal things got cancelled too.  I enjoy those weeks a lot.  This next week, on the other hand, is super busy!  That's ok too though because there is alot of fun stuff included.

Here's the plan for the week

Friday - After a busy day at Friday school and the fact that Joshua and Nate are headed to a Lock-in - we grabbed take out for dinner.

Saturday - Joshua and Nate apparently have a busy social life because tonight they are headed out to dinner with our youth group and then to see a play where several of the youth are participating.  So, after dropping them off - Darryl and I are going out to dinner!

Sunday - BBQ Cups and French Fries.  Something that is easy to get on the table after church.

Monday - Spaghetti and Garlic Knots

Tuesday - Meatloaf and Mac and Cheese (I actually purchased pre-made meals from a local store to try)

Wednesday - Joshua and Nate have youth group and eat there; Darryl has an MRI in town so he will eat between work and his appointment; I will eat something while youth group is going on.

Thursday - Darryl and I are heading to a banquet at the camp that Nate goes to in the summer and Joshua and Nate will probably be treated to take out before we leave HA!

A super easy week as far as cooking (thank goodness!)

Weekly Menu

We have a snow day today and I just love snow days!  I made a new cake recipe today - if it is good, I'll share the recipe, if not, we can forget I mentioned it HA!  Here's the plan for the coming week.

Friday - I had made a bunch of Sausage Balls for one of my classes (Breakfast and Bingo) which is now moved to next week.  Yes, I can freeze them but I decided to use some tonight for dinner and make Buttermilk waffles, sausage balls, and fried potatoes.

Saturday - We are going to my mom's for dinner!  2023 has brought lots of Saturdays with "things" going on so we enjoy when we have open Saturdays and can go to my moms :-) .  I think we are part of the "every other week club" right now!

Sunday - Roast, Mashed Potatoes, and corn casserole.  This was on the menu for last week but was not used.

Monday - Spaghetti and Garlic Knots

Tuesday - Turkey and Bean Nachos.  (Ok, I use ground pork because we do not like ground turkey or chicken)

Wednesday - Today is Pie Day so I am going to make a quiche, which is like a pie (it is in a pie plate with a pie crust, right??), banana bread and asparagus.  I might even make an actual pie too.

Thursday - We are having our annual "St. Patrick's Day" dinner tonight as Joshua and Nate have a youth event on Friday.  Stuffed Cabbage in the crock pot, crash potatoes, Jello-Salad, and a St. Patrick's Day dessert (usually something with pudding!)

Lots of good food this week :-)

Weekly Menu

My last Dinnerly box was delivered this past week and I'm glad HA!  I stop following the recipes awhile ago and just use some of the main food items like veggies in other meals.  I have not been impressed this time around with the service at all and am glad it was through a grant with Nate's on-line school and not something I was personally paying for - but I will say that when I sent a complaint, they credited my account for the items that were bad in that box so the customer service is actually pretty good.

Time slow down!  March is marching in quietly like a lamb but it is still Marching!!!  Uuugg.  I always look forward to the slow months at the beginning of the year but this year has not been slow.

Here's what is on the plan for the coming week:

Friday - Stuffed Shells, Garlic Bread, and green beans

Saturday - I'm supposed to go to a scrapbooking crop but the weather is not looking promising.  Either way my guys will have dinner at my mom's and if I don't get to go I will too!

Sunday - Sunday Swiss Steak, Mashed Potatoes, and Corn

Monday - Beef Drip Sandwiches and Chips

Tuesday: I will be heading to a Mom's Night Out with our homeschool group leaving my guys on their own again.  (Two weeks in a row!) I have spaghetti sauce in the freezer so I'll leave spaghetti for them for dinner.

Wednesday - My guys have youth group and they get served dinner.  I usually eat in the car while I wait for them to be done and have soup at home for Darryl.

Thursday - Swiss Chicken Breast Supreme with stuffing, green beans, and crescent rolls.
