Weekly Menu - February 18

Hello!!!  Planning menu's is something I have "always" enjoyed, all the way back to my single days.  I think it is the organizer in me or something.  It is something I can control and see to fruition.  Last week was not a home run.  As a matter of fact, on Monday evening we had leftovers (or Modge Podge Meal as I like to say) because we had so much in the fridge.  On Tuesday I made burned Spaghetti for Valentine's Day (no not on purpose!).  Wednesday it was just the boys and I so we had frozen waffles.  THEN Thursday night - dinner was awesome!!  I made Lemon Chicken w/a Rice and Broccoli Casserole and it was a great dinner.  I love nights like that!   Also, I was planning a month at a time but I found that it didn't really work well for me.  Instead, I set up my Recipe Binder so that I just go through recipes and as I use them, put them in the back of the section.  It's made planning super easy :-)

With that said, here is my plan for next week.

Saturday:  I have plans to do a family day in honor of my husband's upcoming birthday so we will be eating out.

Sunday: After church, we are having Sweet and Sour Crockpot Pork, green beans and rice.  I might pick up some egg rolls, we'll see.  For dinner, we are going to try making homemade Calzones - I thought it would be something fun to do with the boys.

Monday: Saucy Asian Meatballs (this is a new recipe!), Pineapple Fried Rice and Roasted Cabbage

Tuesday: Coconut Chicken, Onion Rings, and 7-Up Biscuits

Wednesday: DARRYL's BIRTHDAY!!  He got to pick whatever he wanted for his birthday - we are having Jet's Pizza, Breadsticks and Salad.  Then we'll have Carrot Cake for dessert!

Thursday: Simple Stroganoff, Easy Cheesy Bread, and Peas

Friday: Mini Sausage Quiches, Lemon-Blueberry bread, Salpicon
