Weekly Menu
Trust me, I know this is a much anticipated post so I try not to miss it. 😂 I had hoped to have some other posts up documenting our adventures the last few weeks of 2021 but I haven't uploaded photos yet so I will get there! BUT we always have to eat! We get the blessing of a dinner subscription box again - this time through our on-line school. They received a grant so we get 8 weeks, 3 meals a week starting this coming week. I'm looking forward to it! It will help the grocery bill and give us some different recipes to try during the long winter months!
Here's the plan for this week:
Friday - Nate had his birthday party so it was Chicken Nuggets and Fries :-)
Saturday - Dinner at my mom's.
Sunday - Josh has a Sunday School pizza party right after church so I believe that Darryl, Nate and I are going to grab McDonald's after dropping Josh off.
Monday - BBQ Cups and French Fries
Tuesday - If my first Dinnerly box arrives on time we will have one of those recipes otherwise it will be tacos
Wednesday - Dinnerly!
Thursday - Dinnerly!
As I did with Hello Fresh, I'll share the good, bad, and gross :-) LOL

Weekly Menu - 2021 . . .. 2022
It's a wrap folks! Its out with the "old" (2021) and in with the "new" 2022! For the record, I'm not feeling very creative yet with cooking after the busy holidays so this first week of the year will be semi- boring. Plus all the stuff starts back this next week so things get a little busy again.
Friday - New Years Eve! We are pretty "quiet" New Years Eve people. Darryl and I have a long standing tradition of doing appetizers and snacks on New Years Eve. (I'm notorious for over planning HA!). Anyway, we love this tradition so I'll plan snacks for dinner! A few on the plan are Dr. Pepper Meatballs, Pigs in the Blanket, Crescent Bacon Bites, Fruit and Dip, Cheese and Crackers (maybe a favorite cheese ball!)
Saturday - Another "new" tradition is that we go to my mom's for dinner on New Years Day. So - dinner at my mom's!
Sunday - We haven't ordered pizza in a while so we are going to pick up pizza after church :-)
Monday - Enchiladas, chips and salsa, and salad
Tuesday - BBQ Cups and Fries
Wednesday - This is the night we are all kind of on our own. Josh eats at youth group, Nate eats before AWANA, Darryl eats leftovers and I either eat at home or grab something while sitting and waiting for Josh.
Thursday - Hamburger Strogenoff, Noodles and Salad
Hopefully I'll get a little more organized and plan a little a better in the coming weeks.

Weekly Menu - Christmas
It's Christmas! It is such a fun time of year but also a time to maybe slow down just a little and reflect back on the past year and look forward to the new year.
Here's the plan for the coming week
Friday - It's Christmas Eve! My mom hosts Christmas Eve. This is a "new" tradition that we started last year and just loved it. She made it relaxing and beautiful with great food too!
Saturday - Christmas! We start with breakfast which will be Ham and Cheese Quiche, Sausage Balls, Apple Bread, and Fruit Salad. Then, after all the gifts are open we will move on to dinner. This year I wanted to do something slightly different. I priced out a few meat options and decided on a Stuffed Pork Tenderloin. For sides we will enjoy twice-baked potatoes, corn 7-layer salad, and rolls. Of course there will be desserts - A Christmas Cake and maybe a pie (or 2) -- all depends on how much cooking I feel like doing!
Sunday - It's another Christmas - this one with Darryl's family. I think I'm supposed to take some time of side or appetizer and/or dessert. At the writing of this, I'm not 100% sure what I'm taking - it needs to be easy since I'm cooking for Saturday and we have church Sunday morning. I'm leaning towards a simple cheese tray/pickle tray. and maybe a pie or trifle.
Monday - I like to keep the week between Christmas and New Year super simple. So, Spaghetti and Garlic Bread it is!
Tuesday - Tacos!
Wednesday - Pork Chops, Mac and Cheese and Applesauce
Thursday - Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, Hashbrowns, and fruit
