Weekly Menu

As I mentioned last week, my brother Ken will be here around this time (not sure of the exact dates yet).  So, I will plan my menu with knowing that some days we will be at my mom's enjoying time with Ken.

Here's the plan

Friday (6/19) - The boys have a Worship concert tonight so they eat at camp.  Darryl and I will grab something.

Saturday (6/20) - this is up in the air as everyone is going different directions; I’m not sure when or where we will all land by dinner!

Sunday (6/21) - It's Father's Day!  And my brother will be here!  So maybe we can do steaks on the grill or something on the grill.

Monday (6/22) - I know we will eat at home as I have choir practice.  Zuppa Soup and bread is the plan

Tuesday (6/23) - Josh and Nate have Bible Study so I’m not sure on dinner - maybe the adults will eat together🤷‍♀️

Wednesday (6/24) - my freezer and cupboards are full so I’ll pick based in plans and who is home!

Thursday (6/25) - Dinner at my mom’s with Ken before he heads out on Friday.

Our weekly snapshot

Here’s a look back at our week:

Nate went to a bonfire on Saturday evening with friends.
On Sunday everyone attended my choir concert.

And Nate headed to a week of staff training.

A few grainy screenshots that show Nate ha!  At least I know he’s alive! 🤣

Josh had friends over Friday to hang out and they cooked their own burgers for dinner.

Then head to group shot of Staff — can you find Nate? And why does he look like he’s 25? 😭🤪

Weekly Menu

This next week Josh and Nate will be gone during the day at Worship Camp.  They really enjoy this week of creating music with friends; it is a little hard to fathom that this is Josh's last year as a camper.  It is the first of the "last" things for him as he is now a Senior!

Here's the plan:

Friday (6/12) - Amish Chicken, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies

Saturday (6/13) - We have to pick Nate up from a week of camp, attend an Open House for Lunch plus some running in the afternoon for Josh as he has a staff meeting for camp.  Dinner - I’m leaning towards tacos because it’s easy!

Sunday (6/14) - We are heading to my in-laws for the day.

Monday (6/15) - Chick-Fa-Lay Nuggets (homemade) and Fries

Tuesday (6/16) - I “think” it’s just Darryl and I as the boys have Bible Study after worship camp.  So we might grab something easy.

Wednesday (6/17) - Slow Cooker Zuppa and Bread

Thursday - 6/18) - Pork loin and fried rice

A side note - my brother, Ken, is coming up for a visit some time around now - I just don't have exact dates so this menu may change!

Our Weekly Snapshot

Here’s a look back at our week!

The guys had a great time at the father/son retreat.

Josh and Nate had a piano recital!
All the students and their teachers!

These two photos were actually Sunday - the band hung out!

Nate hung out with friends and we all got to enjoy Morley’s birthday cake. 😊

On Friday we had an amazing field trip to a great zoo!  It down-poured a few times but we had clear weather too.

It was a great week!

Weekly Menu

May was a whirlwind.  So many days of changed menus and recipes not used because days were so busy.  Whew!  I did a grocery pick up on Saturday, May 23rd and made a silent agreement with myself not to go again for two weeks HA!  Well, I am trying to stick to that as much as possible.  I did have to stop on Friday, the 29th, to get some milk and Gatorade but otherwise we have plenty of things in the fridge/freezer/cupboards to carry us through for another week of so (actually longer - but I will need to pick up random little things!)

So, here's the plan:

Friday (6/5) - breakfast casserole and banana bread

Saturday (6/6) - Heading to my mom's for dinner

Sunday (6/7) - Swedish meatballs and noodles

Monday (6/8) - Chicken Alfredo and carrots

Tuesday (6/9) - Grilled chucked, rice, and roasted veggies

Wednesday (6/10) - Eggs, toast, and applesauce

Thursday (6/11) -  Sausage McMuffjns , and fruit
