Bosten Cream Pie Mini's

Don't these look awesome?  They are!  This picture is from the Kraft Website but I have a few too! 

What You Need
1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup cold milk
1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
4 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Make It
HEAT oven to 350ºF.

PREPARE cake batter and bake as directed on package for 24 cupcakes. Cool completely.

BEAT pudding mix and milk with whisk 2 min. Let stand 5 min. Meanwhile, use serrated knife to cut cupcakes horizontally in half. Stir 1/2 cup COOL WHIP into pudding; spoon onto bottom halves of cupcakes, using about 1 Tbsp. for each. Cover with cupcake tops.

MICROWAVE remaining 1 cup COOL WHIP and chocolate in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Let stand 15 min. Spread onto cupcakes. Refrigerate 15 min. before serving. Refrigerate leftovers

30 Days of Thankfulness

Today I am thankful for quiet mornings.  I enjoy the hour or two I get in the morning when everyone is sleeping.  I get up with my husband, sometimes between 5 and 5:30, make his lunch and than snuggle back in and watch some news until 6:00.  I than have from 6-7:15 to get ready for the day, relax, have my devotions and just enjoy the morning before the little munchkin arrives.  Normally he is still sleeping so than I have until one wakes up, normally around 8:00 to get some things marked off my list.  All that time really helps my day run smoothly and as I sit here this morning enjoying the calmness, I am thankful.  Plain and simple.

Today I an thankful for  . . .my soft bed!  Today was a really long day - not a bad day at all - just long, lots of things going on and we seemed to be going non stop (even no naps for two little boys!).  It was so nice to fall into bed (last night since I forgot to post this I was so tired!), crawl under the covers, snuggle in and drift off to sleep!

Is it ok that I have two songs of the week?  Actually this is more than a song of the week - this is my husband's creation that I wanted to share.  He put this together - plays all of the guitar parts and mixed everything else.  It is fantastic if I saw so myself!    (Make sure an pause the player at the bottom of the blog to get the true sound)

Song of the Week - We Shall Behold Him

Sandi Patty has been one of my favorite artists for most of my life.  I've seen in her concert several times and there is nothing like it.  I think she has a beautiful voice and is very real.  Quite honestly, the song "We Shall Behold Him" totally belongs to her - no one else, in my opinion, can come close to her when it comes to singing this song!  How could I not include it on my playlist?? So . .enjoy!

30 days of Thanksgiving

Today I am thankful for milestones and music :-)  Naturally I am very thankful for my two boys but tonight we had a milestone and fun with music.  Nate took his first few steps tonight.  We have been working with him for a week or so and he has been standing on his own but no steps.  Tonight, he took four little steps from me to Darryl :-)  Josh loves music and tonight Darryl, Josh and I all played together.  Darryl and I had little tamberines and Josh sat at his little piano, clapping and tapping his foot to the beat.  It was so adorable!!!  Needless to say, we had a great night :-)

I really have a lot of fun searching out blogs for more great craft ideas.  Man, I wish I could make every one that I posted but right now, I just don't have time! Instead I'm saving many of these to make "someday" - if you find time to make any of these, I'd love to see them!  Today, there will be Thanksgiving Ideas, Christmas Ideas, Teaching Ideas and just Ideas!

I really love these Cereal Box Turkeys from My Plum Pudding.  I may have to add this art idea to my Thanksgiving Lesson plans!

Make and Takes give instructions from a great game of "Turkey Bowling".  I wonder if we can drink enough 2 liter soda to make this before Thanksgiving LOL  This would be fun for the kids . . .and the big kids to play

Crafts for All Seasons gives a wonderful tutorial for a Thankful Turkey.  This is one of those ideas I plan on implementing next year as my boys will be a little older and will understand Thankfulness a little more.  It is really a great idea for kids!

This is a really cute menu board from While He Was Napping.  I love that it is magnetic.  I think when I finally get to "redoing" my kitchen, I'll incorporate this idea.
